National Wood Primer is a high-performance, alkyd-based primer specially designed for wooden surfaces such as soft wood, hard wood, plywood, and chipboards. It is applied before the final paint coat to create a smooth and even surface, improve paint adhesion, and increase the durability of the finish. The primer has good penetration and hiding properties, which help fill wood grains and small surface imperfections. It dries to a smooth matt finish that resists cracking and abrasion, making it suitable for furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and other carpentry works. National Wood Primer can be used for both interior and exterior applications and is usually overcoated with enamel or emulsion paints. However, it is not recommended for surfaces exposed to constant water immersion or marine conditions.
